An award-winning Investigative journalist, author and editor, Sheila Coronel was one of the most tenacious reporters in the Philippines transition from dictatorship to democracy. In 2006, she moved to New York to be the director of the Toni Stabile Center for Investigative Journalism in Columbia University. The petite, soft-spoken Coronel began her reporting career in 1982 — four years before the fall of the dictatorship of Ferdinand Marcos.
