Meeting 1 : Session:Fact-Check Your Investigative Report Before It Is Too Late

How do you avoid mistakes when you do an investigative report? The answer is a tough system for pre-publication quality control. In this session, Sweden's Nils Hanson, ARIJ board member and editor of the award-winning current affairs show “Uppdrag Granskning” on Swedish Television (SVT) will show you how to fact-check your work before it becomes public. Nils and his investigative team have developed a methodological approach to fact-checking and "bullet-proofing" investigative stories that is now being adopted in other newsrooms around the world. A must for all ARIJEANS who want to avoid becoming the target of investigations.
