In this session, Yemen’s Nawal al-Maghafi, a London-based freelance producer and journalist, who has completed scores of TV investigations, films and documentaries in war-torn Yemen and the region, shows you the ABC’s of pre-planning and risk assessment before you embark on your investigation. Using standards employed by international broadcasters like the BBC, she will explain how the risk assessment is a fundamental part of managing your project and is also a vital way to identify what harm could result from your activity or situation and what control measures are needed.
